Supported Charity Criteria
We evaluate the charities we support based on our mission statement, as well as the supported charities' efficiency in carrying out their stated missions. One of our resource tools for this evaluation is www.charitynavigator.com. If you know of other charities that you think would be a good addition to our list, please check out their rating on this service, and then give us their information as we are happy to consider adding more to our list. On an annual basis, our board of directors will decide the amount various entities will receive based on our total profits (setting aside a portion for future growth of the business as well). Charities Designated by Donors
We are also open to directing contributions to an entity of a donor’s choosing for donors that have provided us with significant revenues ($1,000+). We only ask that the designated entity has a mission in line with our own.
Services to Other Non-Profit Organizations
Our services can also be utilized by other non-profit corporations to help raise funds for their organization. For example, schools and other charities can benefit from our worldwide market exposure by using our services to sell donated items that otherwise might not receive their full value in a more limited setting, such as silent auctions, tag sales, etc. We would then return the profits earned to the organization, after deducting our fees and expenses. The items would need to meet our minimum value threshold ($50+ per item), to make this service worthwhile for both parties.
